The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO DSP Maureen Chinaka on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, in a press release on Wednesday, announced that the offending officer was dismissed in February.

“The public is hereby notified that Inspector Kufere Moses, formerly serving at Mopol 55 PMF Aba and attached to UBA Bank Guard in Aba, Abia State has been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, effective 21st February 2025. He has also been de-kitted, and all police accoutrements have been retrieved from him.

Reports stated that the Abia State Command of the Nigeria Police Force declares, in order to ensure discipline in the force, it has de-kitted and dismissed one of its Mobile Police officers for unethical conduct. This is following disciplinary action by the command against him for ‘discreditable conduct and offences against discipline’. The command’s zero tolerance for professional misconduct was reaffirmed by Isa, and he assured the public that the command would not tolerate elements of ill in the force.

“Under my leadership, the command remains committed to the Inspector General of Police’s vision of ensuring a professionally competent, service-driven, rule-of-law-compliant and people-friendly police force”, the CP said.
