Portable Asks Burna Boy for Music Collaboration After Spending ₦20M Gift

Street-hop artist Portable has made another bold move, this time publicly asking Grammy winner Burna Boy for a music collaboration.

The controversial singer, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, admits he’s already spent the ₦20 million gift Burna Boy gave him earlier this year.

The cash gift came after Portable’s high-profile celebrity boxing match victory over Speed Darlington, which caught Burna Boy’s attention and led to the generous gesture.

Now, in a video circulating across social media, Portable is taking a different approach.

Instead of asking for more money, he’s pushing for something he believes could be more valuable in the long run – a feature on a song with one of Nigeria’s biggest stars.

“I don spend that 20 million finish, I prefer featuring. Make Una help my life. All my fans dey ask for featuring.

Feature me we go collect Grammy. You big pass Davido…” Portable said, mixing English and Yoruba in his typical style.

His reasoning? A collaboration with Burna Boy wouldn’t just boost his career – he’s convinced it could land them both a Grammy award.

The video has predictably sparked mixed reactions online.

Some fans are questioning what exactly Portable did with the ₦20 million, while others see this as another attention-seeking move from the unpredictable artist.

Social media users didn’t hold back with their opinions:

“Portable is not a serious man. Okay what has he produced with 20 million Burna Boy gifted him?” one user commented.

Another joked about his appearance: “Bros comot all this Iron for your body make electricity no shock you ooo, sha no waka inside rain cuz if thunder strike ahhh.”
