Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has publicly criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), over his 2025 prophecies, labeling them as fear-driven and untrue.
During the RCCG Crossover Service held in Shimawa, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye shared prophecies about the year ahead. He described 2025 as a “landmark year” filled with unforgettable events, including challenges that would test the endurance of many Nigerians.
“The wind that started blowing last year will continue to blow this year, but stronger,” Pastor Adeboye said.
He also predicted that earthly helpers would be replaced by divine intervention and warned that some mockers, unwilling to repent, might not survive the year.
He added, “Some towns and villages will shout victory at last.”
Reacting to the prophecies, Portable dismissed them as baseless and fearmongering.
The singer accused Pastor Adeboye of using the predictions to instill unnecessary fear among Nigerians.
“These are lies. These kinds of prophecies are not for me or my family. We reject suffering and challenges in 2025,” Portable declared.
