Nigerian street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has once more stirred up controversy after leaking a confidential conversation between his babymama Ashabi Simple and an Islamic cleric Alfa Hamod Eni Nla.
The singer shared a screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation on Instagram, re-fueling tension in their already toxic relationship.
In the leaked chat, Ashabi was said to have confessed to having romantic interest in a man called Kenny Hussein but wished that being married did not prevent her from following her desires. “I love him, but I cannot be truthful about it due to my situation,” she was overheard saying.
She reportedly sought advice from the cleric on religious matters about her love life, bemoaning she was not able to maintain true love despite having two kids.
Portable captioned the post, “This life just be real, loyalty pass juju,” suggesting betrayal and disenrollment.
The post has since triggered mixed reactions online, being added to the list of long-standing public beefs between Portable and Ashabi, who share two children together. The two have appeared in many battle lines social media confrontations, hot arguments, and short-lived cessations of hostilities.
In a leaked audio released not too long ago, Portable accused Ashabi of disrespect, interference in his business, and causing tension with his other co-workers, such as Queen Dami, the wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo.
As of the time of filing this report, Ashabi Simple had not made any public response or clarified the content of the trending chat.
