Presidential Community Engagement Office (South-West) has extended its BAT-STEM education programme to additional thousands of students and teachers in Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states with empowering learning resources and support assistance.

In Ondo State, St. James CAC Caring Heart Mega School students and Iloro Community Primary School, Akure, enjoyed study materials aimed at making learning more interactive and efficient.

The programme later spread to Ekiti State, where Methodist Primary School and St. Andrew’s Primary School children in Omuo-Ekiti, and students of Ado Grammar School, Ado-Ekiti, were given scholarship aid, school bags, sandals, exercise books, pens, pencils, and mathematical sets. Teachers were also supported with teaching material such as whiteboards, markers, and dusters to facilitate classroom instruction.

At Osun State, the program visited Modakeke High School and Moremi High School in Ile-Ife where students, staff, and community dwellers took part in the education outreach and empowerment exercise. The program, drawn from the Renewed Hope Agenda vision of President Bola Tinubu, promotes compassion, equity, and opportunity in education.

Mrs. Mary Akinyemi, principal of Ado Grammar School, valued the gesture, saying it would make children study more seriously. “We appreciate the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prioritize education,” she added.

In addition to school supplies, food items were also given to teachers and families, as a reminder that the best way education expands is in safe and stable communities.

Commenting on the initiative, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-West), Moremi Ojudu, reiterated the President’s commitment to inclusive and accessible education.

The emphasis of BAT-STEM is to revolutionize the Omoluabi spirit. President Tinubu has a stake in young minds and believes that any child should be provided with a good opportunity regardless of his circumstances.
