Fashion designer Veekee James is facing heavy criticism from Prophet Helen, who released a viral video calling out the popular designer for what she sees as living a “double life.”
The prophet didn’t hold back, questioning how Veekee can call herself a “daughter of Zion” while running a fashion brand that allegedly promotes nudity and fails to reflect biblical values.
Prophet Helen claims God specifically told her to address Veekee again, pushing the designer to take a hard look at whether her public image actually matches her faith.
The criticism centers on what the prophet sees as a glaring contradiction between Veekee’s spiritual posts and her fashion choices.
“You participate in worship concerts and publicly give thanks to God, but your fashion designs and style choices contradict the values you profess,” Prophet Helen said, calling it misleading for young women who see Veekee as a role model.
The prophet’s main point? If you’re going to represent God, everything, from your business to your lifestyle, needs to reflect that commitment, not just your Instagram captions.
The callout has split opinion online, with people taking sides in what’s becoming a heated debate about faith, fashion, and authenticity.
FrankUkpai defended Veekee: “People grow up to unlearn and relearn. Covering your whole body doesn’t make you holy as well. I think it’s a mindset thing… Make your choice and do what’s right.”
Others weren’t as diplomatic. One user cryptically posted about the “Cocomelon era” not accepting such criticism, while Dr_Pharouk simply said: “They should leave her jare. Make she dey enjoy her life.”
But some agreed with the prophet. Obediiodom wrote: “It’s simple, if you want to serve God, serve Him with all your heart, and if you choose the other way, do it completely too. You can’t serve God and mammon.”
