Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique has declared that his team will go on the offensive from start to finish in their Champions League Round of 16 first-leg clash against Liverpool in Paris. Speaking to the club’s website, the Spanish tactician acknowledged Liverpool’s dominance, calling them the best team in Europe at the moment. However, he insisted that PSG would not sit back or play defensively.
“We will attack and try to turn the game in our favor. It is not in our mentality to speculate or protect ourselves,” Enrique said.
He also compared Liverpool to Lille, stating that PSG’s pressure forced Lille to abandon their usual style. “Liverpool is undoubtedly the team in Europe that is in the best shape, both in terms of results and performances,” he added.
