Shatta Wale Slams EOCO Over Seized Lamborghini, Denies Criminal Links

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has publicly castigated the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following the seizure of his yellow 2019 Lamborghini Urus, which was purportedly done at the request of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

In a heated TikTok Live on Tuesday night, August 5 shortly after EOCO released an official statement signed by Acting Executive Director Raymond Archer the outspoken artiste accused the agency of harassment and insisted he had no role to play in any criminality.

Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, Shatta Wale revealed he purchased the luxury SUV for $150,000 and was taken aback at the claim that it was part of a global investigation. “After all this, Raymond Archer, I go just leave the car for you. Don’t come to my house, don’t invite me. That’s why I bought a new Lamborghini,” he bragged.

Downplaying the impact of the incident, the “On God” phenomenon noted that materialistic items are not worth the stress. “We all die and leave these things,” he noted. “I just purchased another Lamborghini to say it be just a car.”

Shatta Wale was also frustrated with Ghanaian officials and hinted at political ambitions, stating, “One day, I go be president of Ghana.”

Speaking further on the seized car, he stated, “That yellow Lamborghini, I no even want am. People dey talk about car like say na big deal. Before you drive, something fit even happen. Make them take am go America and chop am. I don’t need it. That’s why I got a new one.”

The situation continues to generate reactions among Ghana’s showbiz and political landscapes.
