Residents of Gboko Local Government Area in Benue State have been thrown into shock following a disturbing incident in which a young woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy and killed the newborn shortly after delivery.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025, behind Government Secondary School, Gboko. News of the tragedy quickly spread, leaving the community in mourning and disbelief.
Concerned residents have called on the police and other relevant authorities to urgently intervene, investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, and ensure that justice is served.
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies are yet to release an official statement on the matter.
