Social media critic Daniel Regha has ignited an online controversy with a harsh review of Rema’s latest single, “KELEBU.”
In a viral tweet, Regha dismissed the track as “marketable noise,” suggesting it’s only suitable for children’s events like birthday parties and primary school graduations. He claimed the song lacks depth for a mature audience or anyone with “great taste in music.” Regha also criticized the track as being “lyrically empty” and noted that the trumpet sound “doesn’t blend with the beat, instead standing out awkwardly.”
While acknowledging Rema’s “commendable” boldness in experimenting with new sounds, Regha ultimately concluded that this attempt was “poor,” especially for an artist aspiring to be among the industry’s best. He ended his critique with a brutal score of 0.5/10 and the closing remark, “No offense.”
