Sophia Momodu has had enough of the rumors. In a detailed Instagram post, she set the record straight about raising her daughter Imade and her co-parenting arrangement, or lack thereof, with superstar Davido.
She made it clear: Imade is doing just fine.
Sophia revealed that for the past five years, she’s been handling everything on her own, emotionally and financially.
The only exception? School fees, which she says have been paid by Imade’s paternal grandparent.
As for child support from Davido? None.
“I haven’t received any child support from Davido, but our child knows no lack. She is growing in a safe and loving environment and is very happy,” Sophia wrote.
She went on to say she’s waived any past or future claims for support, choosing instead to take full financial responsibility herself.
Sophia also pushed back against recent claims that she blocked Imade from attending Davido’s 33rd birthday party in Atlanta.
She called the accusations false and unnecessary, urging people to leave her daughter out of online gossip and public feuds.
She stressed that Imade has a healthy relationship with both parents and doesn’t deserve to be caught in the crossfire of social media drama.
