Amid rising U.S.-China trade tensions that have resulted in rising market volatility, former U.S. President Donald Trump has sought to reassure investors that his economic agenda remains on track—and that they should just “hang tough.”.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump addressed the growing worry of investors following consecutive world stock market plunges caused by his stringent new tariff measures and China’s quick promise to strike back.
“To all the investors coming into the United States and putting lots of money in, my policies will never change,” Trump said. “It is a great time to get rich—richer than ever!
He doubled up on hope, citing strong jobs numbers: “Great job numbers, much better than expected. It’s already working. Hang tough, we can’t lose!”
