Verydarkman Fires Back at Spy Accusations, Defends His Mission in China

Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has responded to allegations labeling him a spy attempting to expose Igbos living in China.

VDM recently arrived in China and shared a video of himself wearing traditional attire. Shortly after, a man took to social media, warning Igbos in China to stay away from him, alleging that he was there to expose them.

In a fiery clapback, VDM dismissed the accusations, calling the man ignorant. He made it clear that he harbors no ill intentions against Igbos or any other ethnic group. VDM explained that his visit to China was purely business-related, aimed at creating opportunities for others.

He also revealed that he had received numerous messages about Nigerians imprisoned in China and expressed his intention to visit some of them to explore ways to help. The activist reinforced his zero-tolerance stance on theft and fraud, stating that he would call out anyone who steals, regardless of their ethnic background—be it Igbo, Yoruba, or Edo.

To prove his point, he referenced a past case where he exposed a woman from his own Edo tribe, Gennyglow, ensuring her business obtained NAFDAC approval. He also revealed that his own brother sells land, but he has warned him against dishonest dealings, promising to hold him accountable if necessary.

VDM described himself as a man of integrity, emphasizing that he does not chase wealth but already has his own financial stability. He vowed to expose any criminal activities he encounters in China, staying true to his reputation as a whistleblower.
