“We’re Suffering”: Aiyetoro-Itele Residents Beg for Help as Major Road Becomes Death Trap

People living in Aiyetoro-Itele, Ogun State, are desperate for help as their main road has become nearly impossible to use.

A video that’s been making the rounds online shows a man struggling through thick mud and dirty water on the road, expressing his frustration over what residents deal with daily.

His plea has struck a chord with many Nigerians who are demanding action from the government.

Locals say the road has been in bad shape for years, but it gets even worse when it rains.

Drivers and shop owners report that business has taken a serious hit, vehicles regularly get trapped in massive potholes and flooding, sometimes for hours at a time.

The video has sparked anger across social media, with people blaming elected officials for abandoning the community. One person commented:

“And this community get senator and honorable members representing their constituencies oo. Chai Nigeria.”

Another added:

“Every election, they make useless promises to fix the roads. After campaigns, the people are left with mud, potholes, and endless suffering.”

The situation has reignited frustration about crumbling infrastructure and poor leadership in Ogun State.

Many people are directly appealing to Governor Dapo Abiodun, questioning where the state’s priorities really lie.

“See your people’s living condition, but you claim you fixed all the roads and even built an airport,” one user pointed out. “What’s the usefulness of an airport without good road networks?”
