Popular singer Whitemoney has publicly apologized to nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest after getting caught up in an unexpected TikTok controversy involving Chief Priest’s alleged Kenyan baby mama, Hellen Atti.
The whole thing started when Whitemoney randomly joined a TikTok challenge, not knowing who was on the other side of the screen. It turned out to be Hellen, and things got messy fast.
“I had no idea who she was when I joined,” Whitemoney explained in a video he posted online.
“Once we started playing, she began going off on the live stream. I couldn’t just suddenly leave without looking rude, so I stayed and played along with the game.”
The singer even admitted he told his crew to “beat her on behalf of Pascal” (referring to Chief Priest by his real name), and they actually won the challenge.
He later played some music to try to calm things down, never thinking it would blow up into drama.
Whitemoney stressed that when he shared the clip afterward, he meant it as support for Chief Priest, not to embarrass him. But clearly, that’s not how it came across.
Now he’s making it right. “I’m really sorry, big brother,” Whitemoney said, addressing Chief Priest directly.
“I would never intentionally disrespect you because you’re one of the people who helped make me who I am today. I know how much you invested in supporting my career, and I’ll always be grateful for that.”
The singer has since deleted the video from his social media and asked his fans not to read too much into what happened.
