Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, briefly attended Lagos State University (LASU) before transferring to Lead City University, where he studied for two sessions before leaving to focus on his music career.
In the now-trending Instagram video, Wizkid was seen preparing for his performance alongside Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture. Surrounded by tight security, the singer seemed unfazed by his former schoolmate’s attempt to reconnect.
Nightlife influencer Yhemolee, known for his humorous takes on trending topics, found the video hilarious. He laughed at Dare Akapo’s desperate attempt to jog Wizkid’s memory, jokingly saying:
“His dad’s name doesn’t ring a bell.”
