Nigerian thespian Gideon Okeke has vented his anger after developing rashes after a recent movie shoot, blaming this on the lack of proper hygiene practices from the Nollywood wardrobe crew.
In a social media post, the actor complained that he was provided with unwashed animal-skin costumes during the shoot, and this led to an allergic reaction on his skin.
“The yeye wey dey that wardrobe dey smell,” he wrote, sharing the experience in his Diaries from a Nollywood Epic. He appealed to production teams to be meticulous in their standards of hygiene and ensure that costumes are properly washed before they are issued to the actors.
