Aisha Yesufu Celebrates Daughter’s Graduation, Vows to Focus More on Activism

Renowned Nigerian activist and businesswoman Aisha Yesufu has expressed joy and pride as her youngest child graduates from university and embarks on her dream career. Sharing the exciting news on her X page, Yesufu noted that her daughter’s achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter in her own life—one that will allow her to devote even more time to addressing Nigeria’s pressing issues.

“You can now call me JOBLESS with a capital J!” she wrote with humor. “My last born is done with university and has started on her dream career.

I have a lot more time on my hand now, and I will be devoting it to NIGERIA! Welcome To A New Dispensation.”

Aisha Yesufu is widely recognized for her unwavering commitment to social justice in Nigeria. She co-founded the influential BringBackOurGirls movement, which gained international attention in 2014 following the abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok by Boko Haram.

She has also been a prominent figure in the End SARS movement, which began in 2017 to combat police brutality in Nigeria.
