APC Election Chief Visits Philippine Ambassador, Seeks Stronger Nigeria-Philippines Cooperation

The Director of Election Management at the All Progressives Congress National Headquarters, Mallam Tasiu Mohammed, recently paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mersole J. Mellejor, at the Embassy of the Philippines in Abuja.

It was geared at strengthening mutual understanding and exploring new areas of cooperation, such as diplomacy, education, trade, investment, and technology, between the two countries, according to Mohammed.

Ambassador Mellejor praised the APC-led government for the current efforts it is undertaking in the areas of deepening democratic governance, economic reforms, and inclusive development. He expressed confidence that both countries could leverage their shared values and experiences to enhance bilateral relations as well foster people-to-people partnerships.

Mohammed emphasized the essence of the partnership between the two governments and their people, adding that these engagements create opportunities in youth empowerment, business exchange, and technological innovation.

He added that the democratic strides and reform-driven governance by the APC-led administration continued to attract international interest, while many nations were willing to share experiences and further deepen cooperation in governance and development.

The meeting ended with a mutual commitment to continue dialogue and build frameworks that would foster bilateral friendship, investment cooperation, and knowledge exchange between Nigeria and the Philippines.
