APC, NNPP Clash in Ebonyi Over Governance, 2027 Election Prospects

APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ebonyi State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) have traded words over governance and the 2027 general election.

NNPP State Chairman, Ojeogu Ifeanyi, in Abakaliki briefing party council chairmen and the State Working Committee accused the ruling APC of its failures in promises and poor governance. He explained that his party was determined to defeat Governor Francis Nwifuru in the next election.

APC swiftly rubbished the claim, confirming that the NNPP lacks structure, presence, or substantial support in Ebonyi. APC confirmed that Governor Nwifuru has brought substantial, people-oriented leadership since assuming office.

“Governor Nwifuru has improved the welfare of civil servants, improved healthcare delivery, and provided functional hospitals and health centers across communities,” the APC confirmed.

Challenging Ojeogu to identify areas of shortcomings, APC tagged the NNPP’s claim as “daydreaming and wishful thinking,” and charged Ebonyians to ignore the opposition and continue supporting the administration for further development.
