Wave-making Afrobeats star Asake has unveiled his Mr. Money African Tour, whose title is Back to the Soil, featuring live performances scheduled for December 2025 in Nairobi, Lagos, and Abidjan.
Lagos-born record breaker, who combines Afrobeats with Fuji and street-pop, said the theme comes after a year of global collaborations and big singles and it’s about getting back to his African roots.
Besides the tour, Asake inked a new deal with Double Eleven, an agency that will handle his branding and career long-term strategy. The decision has been seen in the market as an effort to solidify his own position in the fast-expanding Afrobeats market.
The news follows up on hits like singles Why Love (February 2025) and *Badman Gangsta w/ Tiakola (July 2025), with the latter peaking at number one on the Official Nigeria Top 100.
The Lagos concert on December 24 is already making waves among fans and being tipped to be one of the season’s top moments, with Nairobi (December 20) and Abidjan (December 27) concerts also set to attract huge regional crowds.
Experts hold that the crossovers of regional tour and new management framework confirm Asake’s transition from hitmaker to legacy artist, cementing his status as one of the Afrobeats new wave leaders.
