Boko Haram Terrorists Devastate Adamawa Communities in Overnight Rampage

Armed Boko Haram terrorists have left a trail of destruction across multiple villages in Adamawa State following a brutal overnight attack that began Tuesday evening. The militants stormed Kwapre and surrounding communities in the New Yadul District of Hong Local Government Area around 7:30pm on February 25th, continuing their rampage well past midnight.

“We escaped with our lives, but everything we own is gone,” said Mr. Joel Kulaha, the village head of Kwapre, describing the devastation left in the wake of the attack.

According to local leaders, the terrorists systematically torched worship places, schools, homes and businesses while looting valuables worth millions of naira. Remarkably, no casualties have been reported, as residents had fled their homes following early warnings of the impending threat.

Mr. Abalis Jawaja, the village head of King, confirmed that locals had abandoned their communities before the insurgents arrived, prioritizing safety over possessions. Military forces from nearby Garaha eventually responded in the early hours of Wednesday, engaging the terrorists and forcing them to retreat.

However, residents expressed frustration that the military intervention came too late to prevent the widespread destruction that has reduced their villages to ruins.
