The Concerned Christian Youth Forum (CCYF) fully supported the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in seeking justice for what it has referred to as the genocide of Christians in the country.
In a statement released on Friday and signed by its Convener, James Paul Odama, the body noted that several international organizations and individuals have acknowledged the attacks on Christians in Nigeria, proving that “the truth cannot be silenced by hired propaganda agents.”
Odama added that the rising worldwide indignation from comments by senators of different countries reflects the seriousness of the case. He also referred to a recent show of unity by Romanian football supporters, who displayed a banner in support of persecuted Nigerian Christians during a World Cup Qualifier match.
He condemned efforts to distort the tale and cover up the perpetrators of the violence, threatening those spreading “falsehoods and propaganda” that one day they would be brought to book.
“The truth will prevail, and those who turn their back against this tragedy will be remembered as part of this crime against humanity,” Odama declared.
