Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has indicated the reinstatement with immediate effect of petrol (Premium Motor Spirit) sales in Naira, following swift action by the Naira-for-Crude Technical Committee.
In a Saturday customer notice viewed by LEADERSHIP, the refinery confirmed that it is now safe for customers to place orders and pay in Naira for self-collection and complimentary delivery of petrol at reasonable locations across the nation.
The action comes in the wake of the refinery earlier suspending Naira transactions for petrol sales due to problems related to foreign exchange and crude oil price arrangements.
The release states that the committee’s intervention put in place to promote the use of the Nigerian currency in crude oil and downstream petroleum product deals was successful in solving outstanding concerns and restoring confidence between customers and the refinery.
