Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gone on social media to share his excitement as he counts down to his upcoming white wedding with Chioma Avril, mother of his twin children. The much-awaited ceremony is scheduled for this August at a sandy beach in Miami, United States.
The couple already tied the knot in a traditional wedding in 2023, a lavish and star-studded affair that made waves on social media with its stunning visuals and A-list guest list.
Davido’s personal aide, Isreal DMW, recently thrilled fans when he dished out bits of information about the upcoming white wedding. In an interview on the occasion, Davido jokingly commented that there’s “no set budget” and told critics and fans to “get their buckets ready” for what will be a tearful and memorable event.
The Afrobeats sensation, freshly from the success of his Timeless 5ive album tour, has been receiving a flood of congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike. Many are predicting the wedding will be one for the ages with some joking that handkerchiefs won’t suffice to dab away the tears, and full towels would be needed instead.
In the banter, a fan jokingly referred to Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, to prepare a “Geepee” water tank for the tears a dig in relation to the duo’s just concluded custody war over their daughter, Imade Adeleke. The battle, which had both financial and legal undertones, has now been amicably settled with the intervention of media mogul Dele Momodu, who is Sophia’s uncle.
Following the reconciliation, Davido was reunited with Imade, sharing heartwarming moments of their reunion after two years apart a move that touched the hearts of many fans.
