Nigerian artist and activist, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falzthebahdguy, has stirred reactions on social media after posting cryptic “introduction” photos on his official Facebook page on Thursday.
The award-winning rapper posted a series of low-light images featuring himself and an unidentified lady, their faces partly covered in shadows. The photos were accompanied by an emotional message that read:
“It’s been a long time coming, and doing this with you is one of the best decisions of my life. First of all, introduction… THE TEAM.”
The cryptic message immediately got tongues wagging, with fans divided over whether Falz was talking about a relationship milestone, a wedding teaser, or announcing a new creative collaboration.
While some congratulated him, assuming it was marriage-related, others argued that the caption suggested the launch of a joint project or brand.
Falz, not one to waste time on explanations, as a witty, activist, and multi-talented artiste, is yet to clarify the announcement, keeping his audience on tenterhooks. Having often kept his personal life off-limits, the rapper’s post is a rare symbolic introduction of a figure of importance either personal or professional.
