The Federal Government will officially commence tolling operations on the Abuja-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi Expressway this Tuesday under the Highways Development and Management Initiative (HDMI) Phase II Value Added Concession (VAC). The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, is set to inaugurate the tolling at Garaku Toll Station, located at KM 32 on the Keffi-Akwanga section of the highway.
The expressway features four toll stations, a development that has sparked concerns among road users and transport operators over potential increases in transportation costs.
