Friend Debunks Claims of Relationship Between Murdered Woman and Gospel Singer, Demands Justice

A close friend of Salome Eleojo Adaidu, the young woman allegedly murdered by gospel singer Ajayi Timileyin, has dismissed reports suggesting the victim was in a relationship with the suspect. Speaking out, the friend insisted that Salome was abducted and brutally killed by the singer.

This statement contradicts circulating claims of a romantic link between the two. Another friend, identified as Alli Stephen, revealed on Facebook that Salome left her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, to visit a friend in Karu, Nasarawa State.

Tragically, she reportedly entered the wrong tricycle, leading to the harrowing chain of events. A third individual, Abby, who claimed to be close to the family, shared her anguish online:

“She is my friend’s younger sister, and she’s not his girlfriend. He abducted her and killed her in the most gruesome way possible.

I’m presently at their house, and it’s nothing any family should experience.

She’s not a spoilt child; she keeps to herself and hardly steps out unless it’s necessary. I have a lot to say, but strength eludes me.”

The police have confirmed that Timileyin is currently in custody and under investigation.
