Celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci is gearing up for another ambitious challenge.
On September 12, 2025, she plans to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice, partnering with Gino Nigeria for the massive undertaking.
The announcement came from an unexpected source – Hilda’s mother, who surprised everyone with her own promotional video revealing the project details.
“Hilda is going to break another record with Gino’s help,” her mother explained in the video.
“We’re talking about a huge pot – 6 by 6 meters wide, over a meter high, and thick enough to feed 10,000 people.
Who else would attempt something like this? But come September 12, Hilda will make it happen.”
Hilda was clearly moved by her mother’s enthusiasm and support. She shared the video on her own TikTok page, writing about waking up to this “sweetest surprise.”
“She went all out – printed shirts, worked with a content creator, and came up with her own way to promote me,” Hilda said about her mother.
“She’s always been my biggest supporter and inspiration. When people ask where I get these crazy, incredible ideas from, I tell them: I got it from my mother.”
With her typical blend of humor and determination, Hilda announced: “Now her daughter – yes, me – is about to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice the world has ever seen, with my amazing Gino Nigeria partners.
I need everyone to show up in big numbers. Let’s make this historic and make my mum proud again.”
