Wumi Toriola, a Nollywood actress, has generated controversy with an open admission of her life.
In a recent interview, the actress broke the news that while she has no interest in marriage anymore, she still yearns for more children — from her ex-husband.
Toriola, who publicly spoke out about the failure of her marriage in 2023, explained that their relationship failed due to constant quarrels and her ex would always use her own words against her whenever they were in disagreement.
Looking back at where they are today, Wumi recounted that her ex-husband used to tell her that even if they were going to get back together, she may not turn out to be a good wife to him.
Yet he did also admit that she is a strong mother, telling her she’s a wonderful mom to her children.
I don’t want to get married now,” she said, “but I want to have more children with my former husband.
He told me, ‘Maybe you’re not a good wife if we get back together,’ but afterwards he told me, ‘You’re a good mother to our children.’
She added that their ex-husband hasn’t remarried but she doesn’t want to know his current relationship status.
For the meantime, the two are co-parenting well and maintaining a respectful relationship for the sake of their child.
