Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez have finally settled on wedding plans two years after their engagement, according to sources speaking to the Daily Mail. The Amazon founder and one of the world’s wealthiest individuals proposed to Sanchez in May 2023 with a stunning pink diamond ring so massive that she later admitted she “nearly blacked out” when she first saw it.
Following their engagement, the couple celebrated aboard Bezos’ lavish superyacht last summer, hosting an impressive guest list that included tech titan Bill Gates, Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner.
While rumors circulated about a potential “winter wonderland wedding” scheduled for December 28 in Aspen last year, the date passed without any ceremony taking place. However, an insider close to the couple has now confirmed to the Daily Mail that wedding plans are “still on” and the ceremony will happen this summer.
According to the source, details have been “inked in” and invitations will be sent out soon. Reports suggest Sanchez has already selected her wedding dress from the prestigious fashion house Oscar de la Renta. The former television host made it clear in November 2023 that she intends to take her future husband’s surname, stating emphatically: “Uh, yes, one hundred percent. I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos.”
Sanchez has openly expressed her admiration for Bezos in interviews, saying: “He’s so happy, he inspires me every day. He makes me a better person every day. He’s the most loving human I know.”
Bezos has been equally effusive about his fiancée, telling CNN: “Lauren is the most generous, most big-hearted person that you would ever meet… She never misses a birthday. The network of people that she gives birthday presents to is gigantic. And that’s just a small example.”
He added, “We’re really great teammates, and we also have a lot of fun together. And we love each other.”
