You’ve got to love John Cena‘s honesty. The wrestling superstar just dropped some truth bombs about his hair transplant.
So here’s the deal – Cena never really thought twice about his thinning hair until WWE fans started calling him out on it.
And this is those brutal, no-holds-barred wrestling fans who literally hold up signs saying things like “Bald John Cena.”
In a recent chat with People magazine, the 48-year-old legend got candid about how fan reactions actually pushed him to do something about his receding hairline.
“When I’m trying to hide my hair loss, the audience is just bringing it to light, like ‘you’re going bald’,” he explained.
But here’s what’s cool about Cena – instead of getting defensive, he actually rolled with it.
He even worked the whole thing into his wrestling storylines because he wanted fans to know he wasn’t oblivious to their signs.
“I get it, but it was also something I was going through,” he admitted.
The timing was pretty intense, too. Cena had the procedure done last November, just two months before kicking off what he’s calling his retirement tour in January.
“Alright, successful surgery—but I’ve got to get out there and go. It was not easy,” he said.
