Legendary 1970s Juju singer, Ahuja Bello, has passed away Monday morning at the ripe old age of 83.
He died in the early hours of Monday, the day after his birthday celebration. This was revealed by his daughter, Bello Festus Aderemi, in a Facebook post which read:
Rest in peace, my lovely dad, Alhaji Ahuja Bello. We love you, but God loves you more.”
Ismaila Dele Bello was born on 24th August, 1942, in Iseyin, Oyo State. He rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s as a guitarist, singer, and band leader and became one of the most highly respected artists in Juju music.
