NSCDC

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in Kano for allegedly defrauding a married woman of ₦1.8 million through the use of traditional charms.

Salisu Abdu Adam, originally from Garko Local Government Area but living in Kawo, Nassarawa LGA, was taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Command spokesperson Ibrahim Abdullahi confirmed the arrest.

Adam reportedly gained the woman’s trust by promising to provide her with better education opportunities and help establish a profitable business for her.

Investigators believe he used charms as part of his scheme to manipulate the victim before collecting the substantial sum.

The NSCDC has completed its investigation into the case and plans to charge Adam in court soon.
