The Kogi State Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, on Tuesday stepped down from his official seat to give way to 12-year-old Adetolani Adekanmbi, a future parliamentarian aspirant who dreamed of becoming a parliamentarian one day.
At a tour of the Assembly Chambers in Lokoja, upon visiting with her parents and siblings, Adetolani was warmly received by the Speaker and members of the House. In complimenting her zeal, Speaker Yusuf called on her to drive her dreams with zealous commitment, describing her as a promising future leader with immense potential.
Assembly members like Hon. Seyi Bello of Kabba/Bunu constituency witnessed the heartwarming moment, applauding the action and courage of the little girl.
