Nigerian lawyer Festus Ogun has taken Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to court for blocking him on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Ogun is asking the court to order the governor to unblock him and issue a public apology.
He shared that the incident has caused him significant mental stress but emphasized he’s not seeking financial compensation to avoid being labeled a “gold digger.”
In a post on X, Ogun wrote, “I’ve asked the court to compel him to unblock me and apologize. This has caused me mental stress, but I won’t ask for damages.”
He supported his claims with a screenshot of the court filing and evidence of being blocked by Sanwo-Olu.
The issue stems from 2021, when the governor blocked Ogun after the lawyer criticized his policies and demanded accountability.
