The M-Tech Foundation, established by philanthropist Mansur Musa Jega, has provided financial assistance to orphans and vulnerable children across Kebbi State to support their education. The beneficiaries, drawn from all 21 local government areas, had secured admission into various higher institutions but lacked the funds to cover registration and accommodation fees.
At the official disbursement ceremony held at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Governor Nasir Idris, represented by his deputy, Senator Abubakar Umar Tafida, praised Jega’s generosity and called on other wealthy individuals to follow his example. He also urged the beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly for their education.
Jega, who is also the managing director of M-Tech Global Concepts Limited, emphasized that the selection process was based on merit. He assured that the foundation would continue supporting more vulnerable children in the future.
