The ongoing feud between popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former manager, Eezee Tee, has escalated, with Eezee Tee finally speaking out against Mercy’s recent allegations. Mercy recently claimed that Eezee Concepts, the record label owned by Eezee Tee, has been using bloggers to tarnish her reputation.
She recalled a contract dispute in 2019, where she refused to sign what she considered an unfair deal. According to Mercy, this was the beginning of their fallout, which later led to deeper conflicts. In response, Eezee Tee took to Instagram to defend himself, urging fans not to fall for Mercy’s “tricks.”
He revealed that back in 2019, Mercy had reported him to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a move he believes was an attempt to discredit him.
“I kept quiet for so long because I wanted to resolve things privately,” Eezee Tee explained. “But now, my silence is being misinterpreted as weakness.”
He went on to make a bold statement about Mercy’s acting skills:
“What do you expect from someone who can perfectly imitate a child’s voice? She’s a fantastic actress.”
Eezee Tee disclosed that he sought help from respected Christian leaders, including Bishop Humphrey and Bishop Mike Okonkwo, to mediate the situation. However, he claims his efforts were misrepresented. He also alleged that one of their pastors made a troubling statement that made him realize the situation was bigger than he thought.
“Until I heard a statement that got me sad when one of our pastors said, ‘Stop bothering about the body of Christ; we deal with you, and the body of Christ will be okay.’
That’s when I knew this was a scripted and orchestrated conspiracy and witch-hunting.”
In the caption of his video, Eezee Tee expressed his frustration, stating that despite facing legal actions and a global smear campaign, he chose to remain silent—until now.
“Even in the face of injustice, I chose silence.
When you involved the EFCC to detain me, I remained silent.
When I sought resolution through the Multidoor Court, I remained silent.
Even when I filed a lawsuit to protect my human rights and prevent further harassment, I still chose silence.
But then, you maliciously manipulated the system, obtained a bench warrant against me, and published it globally.
This is not just about me—it’s about transparency, fairness, and standing up against unjust actions.
Sometimes, silence is mistaken for weakness, but let me assure you, truth always prevails. Facts are stubborn.”
