Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has expressed deep frustration over the continued embalmment of her husband’s body, accusing her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, of deliberately delaying the burial without a valid reason. In an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Wunmi described the situation as heartbreaking, saying that despite public calls for closure, Mohbad’s father has continued to obstruct the burial process.
“It still feels like he is alive because he is in Yaba morgue. It is so sad that he has not been buried, and he has been cut twice.
There is no genuine reason why he is still in that morgue, but my father-in-law is busy manipulating the public,” she lamented.
She also spoke about Mohbad’s deep love for their son, Liam, recalling how the late singer had tattooed their child’s name even before his birth.
“If only the dead could see, my husband would have cried gallons of tears… My husband loved Liam so much that he tattooed his name before he was born.
He was his source of happiness. If you wanted to see his good side, just carry Liam,” she shared.
Wunmi expressed disbelief that Mohbad’s own father would be the one standing in the way of his burial, especially given how much the singer loved and respected him.
