Nigerian model and beauty pageant titleholder Ugochukwu Nwokolo has stirred controversy by accusing popular skit maker and media personality, Nedu Wazobia, of coercion and manipulation during his appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast. Nwokolo, who previously made waves with his statement that “poor girls turn him on,” has now retracted his remarks, claiming he was pressured into making them.
In a recent interview, he alleged that Nedu Wazobia scripted his responses and encouraged him to mention controversial critic Verydarkman to generate online buzz.
According to Nwokolo, Nedu privately informed him of his ownership of The Honest Bunch and insisted on sensational statements for engagement.
The model expressed distress over the incident, saying it had affected his mental health.
“Nedu forced and manipulated me. He is obsessed with getting views at the detriment of the guests,” Nwokolo stated.
His claims have sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users mocked him for blaming Nedu, questioning how an adult could be easily manipulated into saying something against their will.
Ugbo Chinelo commented, “Just when I was about saying ‘see fine man,’ I find out na fine boy. How can an adult confidently say another adult made them do something?”
Tochukwu Onuah added, “Awww, bouncing baby boy. 🙄 Nedu is feeding you, that’s why he can tell you what to say 🤷.”
Others, like Hilary, criticized Nwokolo’s claims, asking, “What is the essence of your manhood if a man can manipulate you just to trend?”
Similarly, God Mercy quipped, “As big as you are, if Nedu tells you to put your hand in fire, will you do it?”
