PDP Leaders in Ekiti Urged to Unite Ahead of 2026 Governorship Election

PDP

Ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for unity among its leaders, members, and supporters to ensure success at the polls. Hakeem Adebomojo, the coordinator of the Ekiti PDP Frontier Group, emphasized that a united front is crucial for the party to challenge the incumbent Governor Abiodun Oyebanji. Adebomojo expressed the group’s commitment to working together with other party leaders to secure a victory in the upcoming election.

The group also condemned the current administration, referring to it as an “affliction” that must not be allowed to continue. Chief Adeola Ogunrinde and Mrs. Lanre Fajuyi, speaking on behalf of the zonal officials, praised the efforts of the state’s Caretaker Committee, led by Chief Dare Adeleke, for fostering party cohesion.

They noted that under Adeleke’s leadership, the committee has gained significant support from party members and stakeholders, achieving over 80 percent unity within six months.
