Professor Okoye, the UNIZIK lecturer who was physically attacked by a student, has spoken out following the university’s decision to expel Precious Mbakwe for the assault. The incident, which went viral, showed Mbakwe attacking Okoye after he interrupted her dance video. In response, the university formed a disciplinary committee, which ultimately ruled for her expulsion.
In a recent podcast, Professor Okoye shared his thoughts on the controversy, noting that the intense public focus on the incident reflects a growing social media trend. However, he admitted that he is still trying to fully process the situation.
“As much as I really want to get into this gist, I’m quite careful because I’m yet to fully process everything that happened, he stated.
