Nigerian musician Rudeboy, whose real name is Paul Okoye, threatened to sue a social media user who accused him of sexually assaulting a domestic worker. The accusation, made on X (formerly Twitter), sparked outrage from the public on the platform.
The drama escalated after one of the platform’s users @darkskinnedtemi accused Rudeboy of cheating on his former wife with a domestic help. Another user, Ayomide Agoola (@chubbiedivah), took it a step further by saying Rudeboy had “raped/coerced their domestic help,” adding that she was likely underage and could not say no.
Responding on Wednesday, the “Reason With Me” singer vowed to sue the accuser.
“I hardly react!!! But see this one!!! @chubbiedivah if you want go private, leave X!! I will find you. I will use all the required means, power, resources and money!!! You will be dealt with by the law. I will hire you to set an example!! (scapegoat),” he posted.
He continued to threaten that the only option left for the accuser was to “leave the surface of this earth and travel to space.”
The post has had mixed reactions. While others on social media went out to support Rudeboy and called for defamation suits in the event the allegations proved to be untrue, others worried about the safety of the accuser.
Community reports indicate that the accuser’s account was suspended after the fight.
