Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South in the 10th National Assembly, has initiated the construction of 30 boreholes, including solar-powered systems, across various communities in his senatorial district.
A delegation led by Hon. Francis Sani Zimbo, former Zango-Kataf local government chairman, recently visited Afana Bajju, one of the beneficiary communities, to assess potential construction sites. Speaking during the site visit, Senator Katung’s senior legislative aide confirmed, “The contract has been awarded, and efforts are underway to identify communities and assess suitable locations.”
Kayit, a former national youth leader of the Bajju Development Association, lauded the initiative, stating, “Special thanks to Senator Katung for ensuring on-site verification. This project addresses critical community needs.”
The initiative shows Senator Katung’s commitment to infrastructure development, leveraging his experience as a former commissioner of water resources and finance in Kaduna State.
