Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, has denied the sexual harassment allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Natasha recently accused Akpabio of repeatedly making unwanted advances toward her, suggesting that his alleged hostility toward her stemmed from her refusal to entertain them.
She claimed these incidents occurred both in Nigeria and abroad. However, speaking on Arise TV, Senator Nwaebonyi refuted the claims, calling them false. He stated that he was present at the event in question—a birthday party held on December 8, 2023—and witnessed no such misconduct.
“As God would have it, I am an eyewitness, and I have already narrated what truly happened on social media,” Nwaebonyi said.
“There was never a time the Senate President asked Senator Natasha, ‘Do you like my house? We will come back to have a good time.’ That never happened, and Senator Natasha knows that very well.”
