Shettima Celebrates Remi Tinubu at 65, Says Her Name Will Be Written in Gold

Vice President Kashim Shettima has heaped praise on the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she celebrates her 65th birthday, describing her as a woman whose contributions would be etched in gold in Nigeria’s history.

In a goodwill message, Shettima praised Mrs. Tinubu’s humanitarian heart, perseverance, and lifelong commitment to service, and stated that she has exemplified motherhood and nation-building in manners that inspire millions of Nigerians.

“Sixty-five is a number, but to us it stands for so many years of exemplary motherhood, of exemplary service to nation, and of the unwavering support that a First Lady can give to her husband and to a nation,” the Vice President said.

He acknowledged her efforts beyond those of the President’s wife, mentioning the Renewed Hope Initiative, which he further stated has positively impacted millions of lives across the country. Her efforts in uniting people, empowering women, youth development, education, and taking care of the vulnerable are a legacy of love and service, he said.

“When the history of this great nation and, in particular, the presidency of President Tinubu is written, your name will be etched in gold for the passion, service, and fortitude you have brought to bear on the development of our country,” Shettima added.

The Vice President also commended her warmth, empathy, and dedication to humanity, stating that she was not only a First Lady but an icon of womanhood, strength, and hope. He wished her good health, peace, and fulfillment in the years ahead.
