Tinubu Appoints Folashade Adekaiyaoja as DSS Deputy Director General in Landmark Move

Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Folashade Arinola Adekaiyaoja as Deputy Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), marking a historic first for the nation. The appointment has been widely commended by serving and retired DSS officers, who see it as a significant step toward restoring professionalism and efficiency within the agency. The move aligns with efforts to restructure the DSS in accordance with its original organogram, which includes three Deputy Directors-General in its hierarchy.

The appointment was based on the recommendation of the DSS Director General, endorsed by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and reflects strict adherence to the agency’s regulations. Adekaiyaoja, a native of Kogi State, is celebrated as a highly qualified candidate for the position. Her appointment underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening national security and improving service delivery across security agencies.

In a related development, President Tinubu, during the December investiture of the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) Executive Intelligence Management Course 17 graduates, reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to equipping security agencies with cutting-edge, AI-powered technologies to combat insecurity nationwide.
