President Bola Tinubu will go to Paris, France, on Wednesday on a short working visit to conduct a mid-term review of his administration’s performance and strategize on future reforms.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga announced in a statement that Tinubu will use the retreat to evaluate key milestones, assess current reforms, and chart strategies for his administration’s second anniversary.
This period of reflection will inform plans to further accelerate current reforms and move the country’s development agenda forward in the new year,” the statement read.
The visit follows recent economic progress, including the increase in Nigeria’s net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023, reflecting the impact of fiscal reforms under Tinubu.
Despite his period abroad, the president will remain actively engaged with his team and continue with governance tasks. He should be back in Nigeria in about two weeks.
