Nollywood actress Toyin Alausa, who has appeared in Yoruba films, recently shared her own experience working with actress Funke Akindele. This comes after skit writer Ganiyu Kehinde, alias Ijoba Lande, went viral on social media by claiming that he was paid N90k for a month of work on Akindele’s film set, though later apologized and clarified himself.
Alausa responded to the scandal by commenting on her own experience working with Akindele on set. She ensured that she would talk, and asserted that always staying quiet would inevitably be misunderstood. The actress proceeded firmly to affirm that, having worked multiple times with Akindele, she is certain that Akindele pays her cast and crew fair wages and well and treats them decently.
Alausa hailed Akindele for her timely payments as well as taking the workplace environment to a relaxed level, ascertaining that her experience is always a friendly one. She also took advantage of the occasion to remind folks to be appreciative to others who invest time, money, and effort to create successful endeavors.
In her post, as shared by nollywoodcitadel, Alausa asked others to refrain from making general assumptions, noting that Akindele, who had just prayed for actor Timini, is a working-class, foresighted woman who leads by example by lifting other people in the profession.
