The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old sex worker, Riyanatu Musa, for allegedly stabbing a barman, Yohanna Musa, to death during a quarrel over a N200 liquor balance. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation. She explained that she had purchased dry gin, including a brand called “Big Ben,” from the victim and paid N1,500, leaving a balance of N200. The quarrel erupted when the victim demanded the remaining money, leading to the fatal altercation during which she stabbed him in the chest with a knife.

The suspect, a mother of two, expressed regret over her actions but denied consuming beer on the day of the incident, although she admitted to drinking alcohol. Commissioner of Police Morris Dankombo has ordered a thorough investigation into the case and cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands.
